A day in the life

By Shelling

Day out

Another beautiful day has passed, I had my first breakfast outside this morning since there was hardly any wind and the weather very mild.

Both my neighbour and I have been busy for a while fixing our gardens and removing old grass from last year. My neighbour had sacks full of it, I thought we could burn it some still evening but she wanted to take it to the recycling so it could be used for something useful in stead.  She wants to build her own compost so we discussed where it was going to be. We found a good spot by the hedge. I cleared the space with my scythe but one thing lead to another and we ended up being occupied with garden things all day. In the end I borrowed a trailer from a friend so we could get rid of all the garden debriz at the recycling station.

When I got back from there, the temperature suddenly dropped considerably and the wind became stronger and chilly again. We're in for some days of cold weather from the north, apparently even snow/slush can appear on the high parts of the inland, not here on the island.
