Old Man of the Forest

Covered with veneer and decorating texture material this old man was inspired by "The Old Man of the Forest" (the Orang-utan) and the Green Man.
Green men are generally faces carved in stone decorating British churches, they have vegetation growing out of their mouths to symbolise fertility (the raison d'être of the Christian religion).
