Before and after

Not shown in these photos, but to the left is a large Norway maple. Last year I had someone in to prune it. He may be alright cutting trees down, but he was not so good in pruning trees. I thought he took too many branches off. As a result it does let more light into this garden. There was a weeping mulberry there but we cut it down earlier in the season when we did the spring cleanup, it was beside the post for the porch.
We removed the lily of the valley, and will have to watch for shoots that will pop up. I added 3 boxwoods, a bush honeysuckle and several perennials. I didn't order enough mulch today so I have more being delivered tomorrow and we will finish everything in the morning.

We spread some mulch at another property today, then moved on and did the weeding at 2 of the biweekly properties.

It was cold and damp and windy today. The high got to 9 C this afternoon, about 10 degrees colder than what it should be. The rest of the week is not much better. Back to dressing in layers again.
