A visit to Wisley
It’s been a lovely sunny and warm day. We all visited Wisley Gardens and enjoyed a lovely stroll around them. There was quite a tropical feel in the areas with these lush palms and lots of colour around especially from very large peonies. Many damselflies and dragonflies were zooming around in the sun. It was delightful. Although I have visited a few times before l hadn’t seen the horse head sculpture which is quite dramatic.
We returned back to my friends and enjoyed another evening meal. This time l learnt how to make choux as my friend had recently been taught by her French friend and was keen to make some. They were delicious and we filled them with cream and raspberries topped with chocolate sauce.
Later in the evening we chatted to our other university friend who is in Italy where they had just had a day of rain and hailstones. An enjoyable day.
