Gadigal Metro Station.

Yesterday afternoon there was an incident on a Sydney heavy rail line that brought down the overhead wires and paralysed well nigh the total system. Disruption persists more than 24 hours later. 

I had a date with friend Sue to meet in the Queen Victoria Building, in the heart of the CBD, at 3pm today. What to do? I decided to walk the 20 minutes to the nearest Metro for the eight minute ride to Gadigal Station, right near our destination. When we were done I did the same in reverse.

My photo was taken at Gadigal. Of all the Metro stations I have explored, this is my favourite. The architecture screams, "This is not the Department of Public Works."
