Roll With It

Before & After

Up until recently Tuesday was RHS gardening day out at the Eden Project, today I spent around seven hours in our small front garden.
Four or five years ago Sam asked to turn it into a wildflower garden to attract insects and birds. The problem arises when after time the wildflowers disappear under the expansion of unchecked pants like Agapanthus or Jasmine, so today was the day.
Seven hours of digging over, forking, weeding, sieving, cutting back and then cleaning the path.
Sam shared the work and I enjoyed every minute of it.

The plan now is to leave it for a day or two then weed, rake over and repeat every couple of days for a week. Sam will then select the plants and we plant up, somewhere to the right of the Dracena Palm are three seed ‘bombs’ planted in March, not much sign of any growth yet but it’s early days.
