The NAO Santa Maria

There was activity in sleepy Ventnor today. A replica of the ship that Christopher Columbus sailed in to the Americas during 1492, had sailed from Spain to Ventnor. There were cannons firing, Morris Dancers, bell ringers and dignitaries all in attendance. Despite the drizzly weather, quite a few people showed up. The ship then set sail for Cowes where it will be moored for a few days.
