Above And Beyond...

Architecture

We had some long awaited rain last night but by the time we set off from home midday it was dry and sunny again. Twenty minutes later we arrived at Skenfrith Castle to do a good six mile circular walk to Llanrothal (Herefordshire, England, UK) mostly following the River Monnow.

It's a walk we've done many times: The highlight is St John The Baptist Church (12th C) which is built on the remains of a Celtic Church dedicated to St Ridol.  The current church dates from 12th C and Norman period - it's 'architecture' ideal for this week's W-I-D-E on Wednesday Theme.
