Bulbs and empty pots

It was a day for doing bits and pieces.

We had a bit of an issue last night with the kitchen sink tap, it kind of shot upwards out of its connector and spouted water all over the place. So first call this morning was to a plumber. 

We did manage to get it back together again but it looks like a broken plastic washer. We tightened the grub screw at the back and it’s holding steady for now. The plumber will come tomorrow. We may take the opportunity to get a different tap. One of those that pulls out so you can swish round the bowl.

Then it was coffee morning down the road. That was a good catch up.

This afternoon I did a couple of hours in the garden. Transplanted into bigger pots the sunflowers. Tied back the bottlebrush shrub. Emptied the daffodil pots, sieved the compost, spread out the bulbs and now they are air drying before planting again in the autumn. Tomorrow I will put some summer bedding in the pots, although I have only bought two trays of bedding. I may have to go and get some more.
