A local day

Bondville Model village was our first tourist destination. It was cute and well laid out.

Our next stop was Bridlington harbour. We had time for a quick sail on the pirate ship along the south beach before our hour long boat trip to Flamborough Head to the north.

Having seen how rough the North Sea is with strong winds we could understand why the puffin trip was cancelled. Our trip was sheltered by the coastline.

We stopped at Danes Dyke for a cuppa and cake before walking to the beach where the main photo was taken. The other end of the dyke is at Bempton Cliffs where we went yesterday evening.

Our last place of interest was Flamborough Head to see the Drinking Dinosaur formation and the lighthouse. Incredibly windy on the cliff tops but gave us great views of the wild seas. Our bonus spot was seeing the seals which nearly makes up for missing out on puffins.

I’ve added a few extras .
