AGAPANTHUS: Lily of the Nile
AGAPANTHUS are everywhere, just ready to burst into bloom.
I am still waiting for mine to scatter their flowers, but this one
is a preview. I saw it outside a local building.
Last year, my friend gave me the deep purple
variety & it is teasing with a bud, only. It is doing well,
even after our hot, dry Summer last year; & our windy
Winter. It seems happy where it is planted.
Today, I've been housebound, waiting for the tech to
come & install my super-duper fiber optic internet
equipment. He took hours to complete the work, ;
but, also took away a bunch of useless cables &
old equipment. It worked right away, without any
glitches. I'm amazed!
While waiting for him to arrive, I finished reading,
the memoir:
RAISING HARE
By: Chloe Dalton
I liked it so much, I may read it again. I have
never seen a HARE or LEVERET, but she allowed
me to learn about them, expelling all previous
erroneous information, that came before. This
memoir was different than any I have read, but her
beautiful prose won me over.
My book club has voted to read a popular romance
novel next month, so I am cast from the sublime to
the ridiculous.
