Tane Mahuta

Courtesy of Mary-Anne,she and Darcy visited this enormous and ancient kauri tree whilst away for a few days adventure in her housetruck before Darcy starts school next week.
A treasure for all New Zealand …
“Tāne Mahuta, the largest known kauri tree in New Zealand, is estimated to be between 1,250 and 2,500 years old. It's located in Waipoua Forest in Northland, and is considered the "Lord of the Forest".
