Perretts Park

Having proved to myself that the best way to help my sore knee was a week of long walks, I thought I should go for a medium size walk each day to help with this pain in my hip. After lunch I did an old lockdown walk, which takes me through and around two nearby parks. Perretts park comes first - I was very taken with the several beds of irises, all this colour. The hillside behind is where we used to go tobogganing any time there was snow.  The playground at the bottom was a favourite of my son’s. Behind the line of trees straight across is the steep allotment site, where my neighbour and football pal S has his plot. And if you had great eyesight and the pixels were better, you would be able to see the suspension bridge about halfway across in the distance.
I went on to Redcatch park, where on the community noticeboard I discovered there is a Tai Chi class for over 55s on Fridays, outdoors, but under a canopy.  Sounds very appealing to me. Going to try to find the courage to go. Funnily enough I then bumped into my former Qi Gong teacher, who retired.  She suggested a coffee in the community garden cafe, which we then did. Good to catch up with her.
