Up the Roaches

In an effort to regain some fitness we went for a longer walk today. We're not far from this area now so opted for a walk along the Roaches ridge, and back via Lud's Church. 

I've never seen Lud's Church completely bone dry! As it's a deep chasm that doesn't get much light, it's usually a complete mudfest.

We then popped to Tittesworth reservoir for some lunch.

From the Roaches you can see across into Cheshire to Bosley Cloud, and even the Jodrell Bank telescope. In my photo it's a faint white circle on the horizon near the middle of the image.
