Grace55 and the garden.
The Feast Day of Saint Humility. Born in Italy 1226. St Humility longed to enter a convent from an early age but was forced to marry a nobleman called Ugoletto. She bore him two sons who sadly died soon after they were baptised. She saved her husband from a deadly disease. He allowed her to enter a mixed monastery, where he could be a monk and she could devote her life to God as a nun.She was 80 years old when she died after a very austere life.
Today, in the morning, it has been cold after many weeks of lovely warm weather. The evening is getting warmer now and it is 20c in the living room, 25c in the conservatory. I went out for the newspaper and then to morning Mass at our Parish Church at 10am. Year 3 were at the Church with their class teachers. Father involved the children with questions that were relevant to the reading of the Gospel. The children were well behaved and offered sensible answers. I sat with a friend, Joan, and her husband.
I have been gardening, looking after the cats, reading, praying, washing clothes and watching Chelsea Flower Show. I enjoyed a Magnum, They were explaining how to arrange plants in a hanging basket.
I decided to buy two garden seat cushions and some black trousers from the Damart catalogue.
The blipfoto shows some of the seedlings in our greenhouse. The nasturtiums took a week to appear but the recent sunny days have helped.
I hope you enjoy your evening and thank you for visiting my site blip friends.
