Memories of November?

High winds, biting cold and rain? Oh, how nasty is this weather! For these specific dates in May, these are the coldest temperatures we have seen since 1967! Brrr....So glad I have not yet planted any herbs or annuals! The old adage of not planting until after May 24 is holding up as good advice! 

It was a day spent indoors again. Curled up with cat and afghan, and reading a book by the fire seemed like old times in late November waiting for the first snowfall!  Yikes. 

I ended the day watching the hockey game and, with the Toronto Maple Leafs out of the running now, cheering for another Canadian Team, the Edmonton Oilers. I am so glad I went to bed after the second period when they were leading 3-1, and did not witness the 5 goals The Dallas Stars scored in the third! OMG!  My blood pressure would not have  handled that very well! 

Tomorrow is test results day at the doctor's. I am hoping for some answers about my shoulders and arms...and oh yes, my hips too... and any news that whatever is wrong can be fixed or at least mitigated. I am not holding my breath....some things just are. 

Oh yes and what's a blip without a bird? Two rock pigeons who have never ventured anywhere near my garden before! A quick snap and an addition to my life list! :))
