Garden Day
Temperature +18. Mostly sunny. Some wind from the Southeast.
A wonderful few hours in the allotment. The weather was very good, not too cold, not too warm. A job that was intended to be finished today was done and some other things too.
The neighbourhood where our cottage plot is located was just chosen as the neighbourhood of the year in Finland. The neighgbourhood also just filled 100 years. There will be a festival in the weekend close to our allotment. In honor of the birthday here in the allotment the paths are covered after years and with care with crushed stone fines (don't know if this is the right translation). During summer time the area is like parks, all people can walk here admiring gardens. Our path looks like this in the picture, very beautiful.
In Extra there is a shell of a white-lipped snail (Cepaea hortensis) in our garden . I wasn't sure if the snail was in. I have seen this spcies only once before, here in our garden. It's common, but not as common as copse snail and so not as harmful for plants.
I also saw the first few swallows that in Finland is said to mean: summer is here :)
