Fat Thighs
This male swollen-thighed beetle was on an oxeyed daisy as I was hunting for downy emerald dragonflies at Lower Moor Nature Reserve.
I had Millie with me which on setting off I had thought a good though not great idea of taking her on my expeditions. The lead contraption was round my waist like runners do. Maybe a step too far for photography! I did get the downy though which I was exceptionally pleased to see in the Extra.
Nowhere is safe if you tout a camera over the years and walking down the path on the Reserve I heard, 'Oh hello Hilary!' A blast from the past.
