Woodlands ICM
Today has been very busy and I am posting this late. I changed the bedding and washed and ironed the bed linen this morning and also did some other laundry. This was followed by a telephone appointment with the bank to discuss changing Gavin's bank accounts to joint accounts so that I will have access to them to be able to pay accounts. We bank with Bank of Scotland and have done so for nearly 25 years, and their service is excellent, but sometimes I struggle to understand the broad Scottish accents of the staff. Today the banker had a 'normal' Scottish accent so it was not a problem today!
I then took Xena for a long walk where I took this photo of a group of very straight and tall trees.
I went to get a few groceries for Fiona, I don't have to do that when she stays in the house but I like to at least provide fresh bread and milk. I also cooked her a chilli so she has supper all prepared for tomorrow night.
After lunch we had a meeting with the estate agent who sold our previous house and who we bought out current house through. We have known him a long time and he is a very good agent. We discussed the current market situation and we told him that we are looking to down size due to Gavin's health situation, although we are not in a rush and won't be forced into a quick sale so just to consider potential buyers out there for now. I love this house we currently live in but it will be too big to manage if I am by myself.
I finally started packing late this afternoon, now I am finishing off the AGM minutes from our meeting on Monday and am also trying to cook supper at the same time. Its all been a bit hectic today!
Gavin is very much looking forward to this trip, it has given him such a boost. San Diego here we come! We leave tomorrow morning.
