Peony (Day 3668)
After a bit of a disturbed night I headed to town to collect a hot water cylinder and some bits, then along to the job for the day. It is a job that has been brewing for a while, having been discussed with the customer last year. The long term plan is to replace the bathroom, so changing from a low pressure hot water system to a mains pressure system is a good move.
The new cylinder was in, filled and ready to have the immersions connected up by lunchtime, which is a bit of a record for me. After lunch, and connecting the immersions, I made a start on the discharge pipework. I had been told that a new access hatch to get under the floor had been made for the electrician last year, and that there was loads of room under the floor. I peeled back the carpet and found a tiny hatch. Lifting the hatch was even more disappointing with only a wriggle space below the floor joists. I tried to fit through the hatch, but I am a lot bigger than the electrician and didn't fit. I spent the rest of the afternoon making the hatch bigger. The pipework will wait until tomorrow.
Back home I wasn't feeling my best and lurked on the couch awaiting the return of my beautiful wife from her adventures.
