Olive Wood

Thanks to Ingeborg for hosting Abstract Thursday, with today’s theme ‘ Natural’.
This is the cheese board which came in the birthday hamper.
Olive wood has such beautiful grain, and so no faffing needed for an abstract. Just a simple photograph.

It was decidedly chilly this morning at 8.30am when we went to Birstall Market.
Prawns, fish cakes, smoked mackerel, and lemon sole bought from Stuart.
Usual Austrian Power loaf from the bakery. Unfortunately no almond croissants today.
Asparagus from the fruit and veg. stall, and pork pies from the butcher.
So that sorts out a few meals.
Also bought a very pretty begonia from the plant stall. No doubt will be a future blip.

We did have a spot of rain during the night, but it was just a spot, so the raised veg. bed needs watering and also the pots.
We do need the rain but I hope it doesn’t spoil everyone’s Bank Holiday weekend.
