Bad News

It's been lovely seeing so many bees on our new alliums this week. Sadly though, all is not well. Look closely and you will see that this little bee has mites. Mites weaken the bees, shorten their lives and spread diseases. It's not the first time I have seen this and do hope its not a common issue for them around here. I shall be keeping an eye on it.......
