Zürich

Left our hotel in the Bastille area and walked to Gare de Lyon. A dry morning after a very wet night. The two trains to Zurich via a quick change in Basel were both speedy (306 kmh) and comfortable. Unfortunately the rain had preceded us and we had a very wet walk to our hotel in the Old Town. Having missed lunch we headed out again despite the weather. Umbrellas borrowed from reception certainly helped. We had a good look around the immediate area, power cut notwithstanding. Eventually the rain stopped and after a coffee back at the hotel we went out again to take advantage of the evening light. Most visitors to Zurich will be familiar with this view across the Limmat with the Grossmünster in the background (it's currently under repair with scaffolding covering one side).
