Today we walked around Scar House reservoir, amazing sights and sounds high up in the Dales. We encountered;
Willow Warblers, Chaffinch, Bittern, Wren, Jackdaw, Whimbrel, Greenshank, Redshank, Goldfinch, House Martin, Chiffchaff, Sparrow, Blackbird, Curlew, Lapwing, Oystercatcher, Thrush, Robin, Red Kite …. Very pleased to have the Merlin app, great for identifying birdsong.
And then up to Middlesmoor for the most delightful view down the Nidderdale Valley.
