Little Miss A conducting an orchestra in her sleep. Takes after her great grandmother (my mother) who I once saw playing the piano after she had nodded off. Well if you can have air guitar why not air piano and air conducting?

So sluggish at the moment. About the only thing I can do quickly and well at the moment is speed reading. Today I finished my 32nd book this year, On earth we are briefly gorgeous by Ocean Vuong. Based on his own life as a Vietnamese immigrant in America, it is a shocking but hopeful account of how cruelly the world treats the dispossessed, and yet how they can survive and find love and meaning. It also has some acutely topical observations about the sheer insanity of American life if you are at the bottom of the food chain.
