Sailing into …
… Victoria, BC.
As I mentioned yesterday today was mostly spent at sea sailing towards Canada. And we arrived in Victoria, BC around 7:00 pm.
We didn’t book any excursions here as the stop is a very quick one … only about 4 hours in port. However, we did want to disembark in Canada so as to say we visited Victoria. We were only off the ship for about an hour before returning to our cabin.
We needed to pack up our checked luggage as tomorrow will see us back in Seattle. We have signed up for the Port Valet for our checked bags and these needed to be placed outside our cabin by midnight. We won’t see this again until we land in San Diego! Such a great free service that we were very pleased with.
I’ve put up an Extra that shows the two towel animal sculptures made by our amazing room steward Suka! He made sure we had a neat and tidy cabin for the duration of the cruise. And he was super nice to boot!
We set sail out of Victoria around midnight … which we didn’t see as we were in bed by this time.
We have had an amazing time on this cruise seeing so much of Alaska that we didn’t see on our last visit to this beautiful state back in 2009 … prior the start of this journal.
But it’s almost time to get back to reality! Tomorrow we fly from Seattle to San Diego to spent a few days with my mom! Yay!
