SAFE!

High school baseball played today at 12:30pm.  The home team (black shirts) was let out of school early to play right after lunch.  They had trouble finding umpires at the regular time of 4:30 p.m. but they found two who could make it early on their way to a different game.

The home team's pitcher was trying to "pick off" the runner as he threw the ball to the 1st baseman.  But the runner made it back in on base in the nick of time as the ball was faster than he was and he was almost tagged out.
