Rosa rugosa

I spotted this Dog rose in a hedge by the footpath. They always make me smile with their lovely simplicity. I was walking back from lunch out with my friend.  We went to the Turkish Bistro where I haven’t been before. Both the food and the staff were excellent. Later we had to prise the crumbs etc from between the sofa cushions. The foam had collapsed after just 3 years. A nice upholsterer came to the house and replaced the foam. It was a difficult job as they were fixed cushions so he had to do it from underneath. The sofa looks like new now.
