Dilapidated Gate

Whilst not quite derelict, I think this gate has seen better days and I don’t think it has been opened in a long time - I certainly can’t recall it if it has!

I like the mix of concrete, wood and wire with a mix of textures.

Added an extra today of one of the hedgerows that has been covered in the webs of the small ermine moth…I did blip the caterpillars a couple of weeks ago.

A slightly frustrating day today - I woke up with incredible back pain and barely managed to hobble around the lanes, under 2 miles an hour pace, compared to about 3 normally. No idea why it should have happened. Cocodamol having no effect whatsoever. It is especially annoying as I was hoping to do plenty of walking next week in Norfolk. We have been to get some heat bands that I can strap around my waist to ease the pain…had them before and they are great. Life just shat on me - again :-(

Busy making some tray bakes (healthy flapjack) to take on holiday! A special request from our granddaughters! It is ‘healthy’ as I use pear and and apple spread instead of  golden syrup and a dairy free ‘butter’ (a bit like margarine). It has dried apricot pieces and unsweetened cranberries :-)
