St Davids Cathedral
Took the coastal path to St Davids. Big mistake too far.
Last time we were here was shortly after the Queen died. V and I signed the book of condolence in the Cathedral. A sad time.
Today we found a cafe off of the cloisters and had an ok lunch before taking a look inside the cathedral once more.
Not immediately noticed but I found the very pronounced slope in the nave most off putting as my eyes looked straight ahead but my legs suggested I was walking up hill! Most odd. A unique feature one of the information boards states.
I’ve included a couple of extras for those that can see them. One is of the stunning ceiling (which a mirror housed in a cabinet very cleverly allows you to view without cricking your neck. The other is of the giant bee hives at the bank of the cathedral.
Adjourned back to our motorhome early for a rest. Enough exercise for one day.
