Cricklewood

Once a quiet hamlet 5 miles north of Charing Cross, Cricklewood straddles the roman road known as Watling Street. Now the A5 carries buses, cars, bikes and people south to Kilburn and North to Staples Corner and junction 1 of the M1. A most convenient journey from Leeds.

A late Victorian/ Edwardian town with growing industries and housing expansion in the early 20th century attracted economic migrants.

In 2025 it feels global.

Extras foxes on the line at Dudden Hill Junction.

And the cake shop with so many cakes. Who are they for?.
