The Kremer Collection

Today my Nijmegen brother and I visited a museum in Alkmaar to see paintings from a private collection, containing various paintings by Dutch masters.

From the museum's website:
The Kremer Collection is an impressive and well-known private collection of Dutch and Flemish seventeenth-century masterpieces assembled since 1995 by George and Ilone Kremer. The collection includes works by painters such as Rembrandt, Frans Hals, Pieter de Hooch, and Caesar van Everdingen; the collection as a whole is one of world stature. What makes The Kremer Collection unique is not only its artistic value, but also the way the collectors and their son Joel Kremer want to share their passion with a wide audience.

I put my favourites in the blip. I loved seeing them all. It's quite a collection! We visited the rest of the museum as well. Lots of interesting paintings.

After which we had a late lunch at a lovely homely place. We then went home which took us a long time due to traffic.
