Slooooow day ... ish.

Went to collect my prescription from the chemist this morning. Always have to remind them that part of it is on the fridge despite the massive sticker on the bag ;) 
Rest of day spent doing some embroidery on my current project, specifically tambour beading but the thread kept fraying so I ended up removing the line. Tried something else, couldn't get the threads separated! And then I couldn't thread a needle. Obviously not meant to be today. Packed it away for the weekend. 
Pottered around the front garden, checking plants for moisture, dead heading, rescuing one that had fallen off the table thanks to the generous wind today. Drenched my delphiniums and hollyhocks with a bucket of water each ... It's a small bucket. Also treated them to some seaweed fertiliser. 
Front garden coming along nicely, needs a few bags of top soil to add some nourishment before the plants go in. Looking forward to planting it up. Chatted to neighbour about gardens. And finally managed to choose a blip for today. A Japanese Fern. It was tiny when I bought it and now it's a lovely size, a good year for this fern. Oh and finally, finally, spotted my dahlia has new shoots. It's Dahlia "Sarah" . Bought it for obvious reasons :D
