6 days to "curtain up"!
Another fascinating afternoon at the first stage and orchestra rehearsal for Tchaikovsky's "The Queen of Spades" that opens at Garsington next Thursday. It's the first time all the musicians and performers have been in the same place at the same time so that they can pull a coherent performance together. While they are rehearsing, the sets are being constructed, the lighting tried out, men up and down ladders, general chaos.
The extras show the whole scene with the répétiteur and the lighting console, and some of the chorus waiting to be called.
We will be there on the night!
