While on my runs

Beside the road

This photo was taken Friday afternoon, and posted Saturday morning. The delay was due to going out early with S to The Edith Piaf Show at the Auckland Town Hall. Nathalie Lermitte presented a wonderful show; a tribute to Piaf. She has a powerful voice and engaged the audience into singing along with her, and on other occasions interacting with her rendition.

We made sure of not being late, arriving at the adjacent large car park just over a half hour early. To be greeted by a sign telling us it was full. Dropped off S and headed for another City Council car park amid slow moving traffic. Finally got into Kitchener Street heading for the car park. Saw a different carpark and guessed that it was more likely to have space. Which it did.

Then got out onto the wrong Dtreet, and felt quite disorientated as I was looking for a different entry/exit. Realised the problem, went back in and then out properly and a brisk jog later had found S and we went in. Still well in time.

Despite our seats were not the best (by a long shot), within seconds of hearing her voice all tension disappeared. While we were not Dancing in the Street, the audience participation was amazingly joyful.
