All of a sudden, an explosion of green, as the world of winter white gave way to desolate browns and greys, so now in turn, spring greens have their say.

That sentiment reminds me of a Blackadder episode, in which Percy tries his hand at alchemy and declares he has discovered green.

In truth, it was the white blossom of the elderberry which drew my eye and prompted me to stop the car. Yes, I'm embarrassed to say this was one of the few occasions I failed to walk and search for a blip. My excuse was the 24 hours of incessant rain.
