Bee on chive

I went over to Middleton House to have a look at the displays of iris which a friend told me were beautiful.  Sadly, too late, although there were still some out most had died off.  I liked this bee bumbling about amongst the chives though.  A pleasant couple of hours.
It rained last night, not heavily but steadily.  Everything looks refreshed and clean.
