Friday
Lucy's birthday and I'm a bit annoyed that I didn't photograph us having lunch together.
Hetty and I had our usual morning walk and then we walked right across town to meet Lucy for lunch at the new Soup chick cafe in Hillworth Park.
After all my efforts in the garden and cutting during this week, I was feeling bushed. Once home from lunch, I went up to bed, just for a little rest but fell fast asleep.
Clive came up to remind me I was seeing Natalie and Tessa this evening. I had to perk up quickly, freshen up and call for Tessa.
We walked into town and met Natalie at The Pour House which was very busy. We struggled to converse over the volume of the customers.
We moved to The Lamb and found ourselves under the juke box speakers. It was ok when music we enjoyed was played! I sound like I'm moaning but I was enjoying myself.
Last call was The British Lion. A proper, no frills pub that is very popular with men over fifty. Clive, Simon, Matt, Rob and Jonny Jam were all in there. So we joined them.
Clive was on fire! Very entertaining.
We walked home along the tow path.
