Look behind you, it might make a better picture.

A day at Stowe where we were removing thistles from a new shrub border.

Thistles would not make a very interesting blip. When we had a coffee break we looked behind our work space and realised we were close to the site of the reinstated Apollo and the Nine Muses. A little more photogenic and a reminder of the work carried out by the National Trust. The original statues were unrepairable or lost or sold. Working with Cliveden Conservation the statues have been recreated and back where they were originally placed.
