Northern Soul

We walked up from St Anne’s to Blackpool and although we got wet it wasn’t as bad as anticipated. For the last few years there has been a Northern Soul event on the comedy carpet by the tower but I think we were a bit too early in the day and it hadn’t really got going.

Last time I was in Blackpool I was an extra on an advert for Egyptian TV. It was very surreal standing next to a clown on Blackpool South pier cheering on Liverpool player Mo Salah and Nancy Ajram (one of the most famous singers in the Middle East) as they competed against each other on a test your strength machine. Bizarre.
