And relax...
Another First Aid for Mental Health course today. But with the sudden change of weather we were inside by the roaring logburner all day.
It's a course that touches on everyone's lived experience and always generates a lot of discussion. Today was particularly hard as I knew many of the participants. It was also very rewarding as we added three new Mountain Leaders to the Wellness Walks team.
But.
It's felt like a long run of days recently. Next week we were supposed to be running a large and complex two day event for another mental health organisation... But after weeks of back and forth they finally admitted they'd not promoted it nearly well enough and it's been cancelled. We invoiced it and were paid months ago, we've paid the venue and our instructors.... So paid days off and extra funds for the charity. I'm slowly getting better at knowing when I need to rest, acknowledging I'm tired... So it feels like a win.
I will try and learn from Missy who is a grandmaster of relaxation....
