Agean sunset

An Agean sunset with the islands of Imbros and Samothraki on the horizon seems like an appropriate image to mark the end of my odyssey to the Gallipoli peninsula. Its been a fantastic trip, with great landscapes and some wonderful fauna and flora. But, at the same time,  everywhere I went I felt the weight of history. It sits uneasily. Perhaps that's how it should be.
