1952

A very long but fun day at Volksfling (a weekend festival for VW-lovers that's held in Biggar every year).

The (serious) enthusiast I met by this beauty reckoned it to be a 1952 edition - the back is a barn door and the speedo is back to front. Its such a quirky festival, a brilliant vibe and lots going on.

The frequent showers brought folk into the marquee regularly so I had a profitable day too. I was drenched loading the car back up and the drive off the showground was rather scary - narrow with big tree trunks one side and metal railings the other - felt like I was raleigh-driving.

Quite glad I won't have to navigate that again tomorrow as my Livingston market has moved us inside due to the high winds forecast. Would imagine folks will be happy to stay cosy at home, especially after such a long run of good weather, so my expectations are low.
