Bergamot

It has been a wet day and my planned garden activities had to be curtailed. The desk was tidied instead.

There are quite a number of plants in the garden which I have never grown before. This bergamot is one of them and has been earmarked for a blip for some time now. I just love the punky flower and it looks good with the calendula around it.

The tea from the leaves makes a good mouthwash and it has other medicinal uses including expelling worms, and for treating gas, fever and stomach ailments. Sometimes it is better not to know these things.

It also attracts hummingbirds. I'm still waiting.
