Where's the fence

Took a walk around Needham Lake after work this afternoon and saw this gate standing all alone on some meadows next to the lake. I especially liked the array of wild flowers at the base of it. Suffolk Wildlife Trust sometimes have Highland Cattle grazing these meadows, so I wonder if the gate and posts are permanent and they just erect the fence when it's needed. It made me smile though that a nice sturdy gate wasn't actually going to keep anything in.
