Disruptions

New work happening at the park as they begin to cut down all the trees on one island. They will be doing new landscaping there as it has become too thickly wooded since it was last done about 7 years ago. Pic in extras is of the beginnings of the work and some big puddles from the rain.  
The ibis who usually nest on that island have all moved to the island on the other lake and seem quite undisturbed, probably because it isn’t nesting season yet ; )
I’ve had my lovely quiet Sunday again punctuated by lots of calls from Julian who was doing the big fitness challenge here called HBF Run for a Reason this morning - he actually walked the 6 kilometres and was very pleased with himself.  We did seven kilometres yesterday together so he was well prepared! : ). 
I think there were about 40,000 people doing it and around $1.8million was raised for some really good causes!  A lot of the roads around certain parts of the city were closed which didn’t bother me as I was hibernating at home ; )
