The Peony Rose ...

belongs to J.  Yesterday they stood tall and bright in her front garden. Not so today after the torrential rain that has broken our spell of warm and sunny weather.   It had to happen of course as we aren't lucky with good weather, but it was wonderful while it lasted.

We swithered whether to go on our Sunday family walk as it poured with rain as we arrived at J's house, but it didn't last long and decided we would chance it.  Thirty minutes into the walk it poured with rain again, but we were near a bus stop and sheltered there.  After 10 minutes we were on the move again and it remained dry until we were 15 minutes from home arriving absolutely soaking wet despite wearing our best wet weather gear.
