The Old Forge (Saturday 24th May 2025)

This red valerian (Valeriana rubra) is growing on the shared driveway, but there are plenty in the Front Yard, alongside the green alkanet and the wild irises. With thanks to Miranda1008 for WildFlower Week.

Lozarithm's Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Bob Dylan - Tombstone Blues (recorded 2021, Los Angeles CA)
Bob Dylan (vcl, gtr, har), Jeff Taylor/Doug Lacy (accordion), Greg Leisz (gtr, pdl stl gtr, mndln), Tim Pierce/T-Bone Burnett/Ira Ingber (gtr),  Steve Bartek (additional ac gtr), Don Was (ac-bass), John Avila (bass)
Happy birthday to Bob on his 84th birthday. Tombstone Blues dates from 1965, and was regarded by Dylan at the time as a breakthrough in his writing . It turned up on the album Highway 61 Revisited, the lyric originally inspired by overheard bar-room conversations between police officers about the death of criminals. This performance, which owes nothing to the original, was recorded for his Shadow Kingdom film and album, the newest of his recordings available.
