I haven't been swimming!!!

Yesterday my BLIP was of me wearing my new life jacket and Ann said she was going to take me swimming first thing this morning. Last night she put a message on her 'swimmers & dippers' whatsapp group to say she was going for a swim around 8am-ish.

There was only one other person who could make it, but that was OK because they're a pretty relaxed group. If people they can make it, they can, if they can't they can't. And sometimes Ann just swims by herself.

We walked along Porthmeor Beach and the waves were massive. In fact there wasn't even many people surfing because the waves were windy waves, not surfy waves. And then when we got to Porthgwidden Beach, where we were going to swim, the sea looked a bit choppy.

TBH, if Ann had been by herself, she probably wouldn't have gone in, but she was with one of her 'dippers & swimmers', it's a small beach and has buoys across the cove, so when one is swimming one knows not to swim out any further than the buoys. Not that Ann swam out to the buoys today. And also the coastguards are up on the hill keeping a watch over the beach so it's actually one of the safest places to swim.

However, as it was going to be my debut swim, Ann decided that it was too choppy for me. She wants my first experience of sea swimming to be pleasurable, so I just did my normal thing today whilst Ann was in the water. I sat by the waters edge and I guarded her stuff.

…..........Then I played all the way back along Porthmeor Beach with my ball and lay guarding it on the sun terrace for half an hour when we got home.

I know that you're all going to be a bit disappointed that you're not seeing a Blip of me swimming in my lifejacket today. BUT.................. Ann says my safety & happiness has to come first!!!
