Aquilegias

There are more varieties of aquilegia in the back garden than I expected. The only one we've bought is the black double. The pink one I found growing elsewhere in the garden a few years back and moved it. The purple  and pale ones are self-setters and I expect the black single is a hybrid.

In other news, we played at Ripon bandstand this afternoon. Amazingly it didn't rain, although it was very windy and there were some close calls with the music! Nothing went flying though - lots of pegs and magnets had been employed. Sadly the cafe had shut by the time we'd packed up the drums so we had to come home for tea.
